What protocol is needed in order to scan over a local network?

I didn't find an article like the one you included but you can find the information in the admin user guide found here.  Information for address books starts on page #97.  If you are still having issues after trying these steps, I suggest that you call into our support department for assistance @ 1-800-821-2797.
