you can't do that my dear
if you configer B&w user 0 color print limits When he or she print any thing in color machine will gave error (job delete) and machine will not prnted As B&W ( mean will not convert print job to b&w)
you have to install driver in b&w user as B&w only
Goodmorning to all,
my name is Ettore and I'm from Italy.
I'm having a lot of problems in configuring the wc 7545.
at the moment I configured the print server to force b/w print, so users should not print color.
unfortunately, if you map the printer as a local printer, you can choose to print color.
I can bloc that on the printer but there should be users allowed to print color.
I created a group in the AD but it seems I'm not able to tell the printer that people from that group can print color. I'm reading the configuration for wc7120 posted by fabio but the machine status button and other configuration tabs are missing on the 7545.
the ldap is already configured for scan to email.
can someone help me please?
thank you and grazie! :)

Thanks. I was able to run through the process successfully - I posted the same issue (as a new query) but worded more succinctly and received clear step by step instructions.
1) xerox changed the way of the predifined config with xml, you need to install the latest global driver
2) all 7120 can be configured with ldap accounting to limit color access, also XSA is possible with the 7120 to limit color access :)
Nope :smileysad:
I just look there, xerox support lead me to this documentation too, but this wasn't able to clone/replicate my configuration's driver to another pc.
I copied the file, generated after start registering the change to the default configuration, to another pc, but the changes i made in the pc1 wasn't reported to the pc2!
As i said, i made a rar that (with vbs, cmd shell, .exe of rktool) creates IP port, install drivers, ask me to set as default or not and sets default printing option to b/w (thanks to setprinter.exe, inside rktools).
In this case, stands out the step to enable the XSA and give the ID Account, that i'll have to do manually.
Thanks anyway for the links.
have a look @ these links :

That will help you :)
Xerox answer to all my questions saying that is not possible to replicate driver's configuration on others pc, simply copying a config file, other way but via print server.
I installed 7545 drivers on one pc, enabled XSA, and seted up one account.
I see, in "Properties - Options - Configuration file" that there's the possibility to save a config file, but HOW TO USE IT?
Xerox answer that is not functioning just copying this file to another pc.
Moral of the story, i'll have to install drivers over 100 pc and configure it, enabling XSA and entering ID Account to everyone....
:smileysad:
Thanks to everyone gave support to me.
