Xerox 6515 lost admin password

I have lost the admin password, changed from default 1111, how can you reset it? or bring the machine back to factory value?

Probably not possible since you typically need to be the admin to make an administrative change, which a reset certainly is, but it is possible since the admin could have unlocked the services at some point before access was lost.

 

If that is the case, you will need to go to Home > Device > Resets > Reset to Factory defaults > Reset.

 

Technicians can reset them with a proprietary tool they run on a laptop.

Not present this option.

But whit access in Diagnostics menù (press Home for 10 seconds and pass “6789”)

In DC301 Initialize NVM - what then is the correct option?

Okay so there are two defualt passwords for the ADMIN account.  They are either 1111 or the S/N.

 

If you don't have those then the only other option according to tech support is to pay for a tech to come to your house and use their "sepcial tool" to reset it.  And if you are out of warrany then that answer might cost you $25.  Whne this printer dies I will NEVER buy another Xerox machine.  Brother printers are so much nicer.

I buy a new  xerox 6515 but i dont have a password of admin, i dont create pass of admin, i dont work.
I search soluction with 1111 , and admin. said the password is incorrect. i need help

Try the machine serial number as admin password.

for me it doesnt work admin default password 1111 or S/N i made factory reset, try put new password, it says old password not correct. what to do?

Thank you for using the Support Forum. The password is case sensitive so make sure you are using upper case if the letters in your serial number are upper case.  Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

i just try to put password 1111 or S/N nothing else. this is standart default password for new device. but system says that password is not correct. what does it mean?

or maybe Xerox 6515 now has another default password?
