Re: Xerox WorkCentre 6515 won't accept default admin password even after reset

They may put it in the manual in the future, but it wasn't a thing before this past October, so it simply cannot have been put in the manual.

The Serial number is used in firmwares released to devices to make them comply with the California Password Law (SB-327) effective January 1, 2020.

Re: Xerox WorkCentre 6515 won't accept default admin password even after reset

According to this thread I tried my serial number as password and it was right. U should write it in the user manual.

Thanks anyway, hope this thread could help :D

Xerox WorkCentre 6515 won't accept default admin password even after reset

Product Name: WorkCentre 6515
Operating System: Not Applicable

Hello, i own a Xerox WorkCentre 6515 and few months ago changed my admin password from "1111" to "xerox". The login worked well so far. Today I had to reset the device due to a software bug. After a Fresh Start I tried to login on the admin account with the default password "1111", it won't accept it. I tried the old one "xerox" and it won't accept neither this one... I tried to reset again and to change the admin password when the guided setup asks for it, but it always says to me that the password is not correct.

It does not make any sense... How can I effectively reset my device? Or Is there a way to force a admin password reset?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance! :D
