I have shown what I believe to be literally the only 2 things it can be, so at this point , assuming it has been rebooted, that it is corrupted in a way I have never even heard of, and if that is the case, unless you know how to do an Altboot to wipe and reload the firmware (The directions to do so are not public) then you will need to place a service call to Xerox to have it done.
I'm sorry, I have nothing more to offer.
It's unlocked, the only difference I see is that it's set to Standard Access, which locks Tools. See screenshots below. I should add, we don't want any kind of login at the physical machine/touch UI.
Admin is never an Accounting user, so someone blocked it from anyone who isn't logged in. So fix that via:
CWIS > Properties > Security > Authentication > User Permissions > Tools & Feature Access and see if somebody also locked it.
Thanks for replying. I've made the suggested changes (see picture) and users are reporting that it's still prompting for a password. It is prompting to login as a guest or as admin. Any other ideas?
You must have missed it, or are using a 3rd party off device accounting.

And make it disabled
Hello, I have a remote Xerox WorkCentre 7545 set up on the network that is prompting users for a username/password when they attempt to fax. We would like to disable this. I've scoured all the settings in the Web Interface with no luck. Is this something that can only be changed physically at the device? We have "scan to network folders" setup on the device, with credentials stored in the template, which works fine. My inital thought was to find and change a security setting regarding local authentication or authentication on a per user basis. Any ideas?
