versalink c405 ipfiltering

our c405 is on the network and pritning is through the printserver. i've enabled ipv4 ipfiltering and entered the printserver ip and mask but i can still connect directly to the printer via ip and print. are there any ports that i need to close as well or anything else i should look at?
