[RESOLVED] MS is experiencing issues with their Azure site in the UK. This is impacting XWC.

Update 6 ----

The emergency maintenance window is complete, all systems are functional and using the primary UK South data center.   Testing will continue for the next several hours and further updates will be provided if any issues are found.

 

Update 5 ----

XWC is beginning an emergency maintenance window to restore operations to the primary UK South storage resources now that Microsoft has restored these services.  This maintenance windows is beginning at 8:45PM EDT and is anticipated to last 2 hours.  There will be intermittent service disruptions during this window as we restore operations in UK South.  Our next update will be at 10:45PM EDT or sooner if other notices are required.

 

Update 4 ----

Situation remains unchanged. We are waiting in MICROSOFT for the last piece.  Next update at 9PM.

 

Update 3 ----

Desktop printing services using custom drivers, Xerox Workplace Mobile App, Email submission, and the Xerox Generic Printer have been restored in UK by bringing online a temporarily storage account in UK West azure data center and updating our conversion services, a restart of the XWC Client by the user may be necessary to restore the desktop printing workflow in some case. 

 

The temporary storage account does not contain previously uploaded custom drivers in the UK so printer install for previously uploaded custom drivers is still unavailable.  We are working with Microsoft to restore the drivers and will provide another update at 6pm EDT.

 

Update 2 ----

Desktop printing services using custom drivers have been restored in UK by bringing online a temporarily storage account in UK West azure data center, a restart of the XWC Client by the user may be necessary.  This temporary storage account will not contain previously uploaded custom drivers so printer install for custom drivers is also not available. 

 

Printing requiring UK conversion services which involve using the Xerox Workplace Mobile App, Email submission, and the Xerox Generic Printer are still unavailable at this time.  We are in the process of restoring those services, our next updated will be at 4pm EDT.

 

Update 1 ----

We are actively working on bringing up new resources in UK West to address the issue in UK South.  We currently expect desktop printing services using custom drivers in the UK to be restored within the next 60 minutes, conversion services may take a bit longer to restore, our next update will be in an hour.

Microsoft is currently experiencing issues with their Azure site in the UK.  This is impacting Xerox Workplace Cloud.  You may experience timeouts or slowness related to this issue.  We are actively working with Microsoft to address this problem.  A follow up message will be sent once the system is operational.
