I found a solution - it needs to add printer as smb for use domain credentials. It is neccessary to use Advanced method of adding printer ofr that (found it on other website):
Hi,
With LPR printing, there is no login or credential entry. The workstation should use the identity of the logged on user of the Mac as the submitter in the LPR protocol. For example, let's say I'm logged in as "tsmith" (local user account). That's what should come across in the LPR protocol. That same user must exist in the XWS user database either. Either the "User Name" or "Alternate Access Card User" field.
I'm not certain what is going on with the "local user (ip address of mac)" issue. I have not seen that previously.
Hello! Thanks for answer!
I add XWS shared network printer as LPD printer on Macos using address (domain name) and queue (name of shared printer), driver - universal PCL. Printer is ok, document goes to print, but where i need to enter credetials?
In C:\ProgramData\Xerox\XMP\CompatibleJobTickets\Jobs\Processing\ i see a new folder of new job, but in the file JobSpec.xml owner is look like "local user (ip address of mac)". So there are not that user in XWS-system and i cant authorize it to print. I need to enter domain name user, who will be used as owner. How can i do it?
The recommonded method to print using a Mac is to set define a printer (on the Mac) that points to the XWS shared network queue on a print server. Use the LPR protocol, providing the IP Address of Print Server and the Shared Name as the LPQ name.
@Zed_5 Hello!
Did you solved this problem?
We have the same :(
Hi
We can't add XWS printer to MacOS list printer. We used this book
Https://support.apple.com/en-ca/guide/mac-help/mh14004/mac
Printing don't work.
What's the secret?
