Print Queues (Server) Disappearing

Wow you hit the nail on the head. I must have left it installed after experimenting with different print path configurations. I just rebooted the print server after uninstalling the client and the print server details remained intact. Thank you for your quick and accurate assistance.

The XWS software running on the print server should auto-start when it's rebooted.  Is this not happening?

After a power outage, when you go the XWS server and connect to the web admin interface, then view Print Queues > Print Servers, you are saying the nothing is shown?

The information on the print server is maintained in the SQL DB.  So it should not be lost when powering back up.

Is there any chance you have the XWS desktop client application installed on the print server?  If so, I would remove that.  It can cause a conflict with the printer server application.  Once removed, power off/on the print server and see if it is visible from the admin web interface of the primary XWS server.

I have Workplace Suite 5.7.1.18 running on Windows Server 2012 R2. I am located in the Caribbean and power and internet outages are frequent throughout the year. One of the most annoying aspects of maintaining XWS under these conditions is running Pull Print Network Queues as opposed to Client Queues.

To enable my network print queues I add my print server hosting the queues in Print Queues > Print Servers. Every time there is an outage the print server disappears and jobs are not processed by my users until it is manually re-added.

Is there a way to have the print server remain after an outage so that I don't have to go back in and re-add it every time? I'm just thinking that in cases where there are multiple print servers hosting several different printers this could quikly become a major issue after an outage.

Please advise.
