Your printer is not turned on. You have a low amount of ram on your PC. Your operating system might be corrupted. You are not selected in the right printer when you print.

Thanks a lot again!

I couldn't find mobile app in Google Play because it's unavailable in my country so the only way to set up accounting ID is web admin portal or use admin default, it's clear now.

My another question here in the forum: can you say if I change the region (location) in print server with XWS installed and licensed will the licenses be reset or not?

Disregard the Web Portal submission comment.  I was thinking XWC for that.

The mobile app is called "Xerox Workplace".  You can find it for both Android and iOS.  There is a Chrome extension as well called Xerox Print Portal.

What values you would set as administrator defaults are really up to the end customer.  The defaults would only be used if the user did not have their own values.

XWS is not an accounting package.  It's primary purpose is Print Management, which does include reporting based on user identity (i.e. the username/email of the submitter).  Department is ofter another field that is commonly used to track jobs.  The XWS solution does support accounting code validation, and therefore the options for entry of accounting codes is limited.  For XWS, the user would have to set them using the Workplace mobile app.  Or the adminstrator can set them either using the web admin portal, CSV file import, or possibly via LDAP import if there is an appropriate field in the AD/LDAP server.  The adminsitrator defaults are just a fallback in case the user does not have their own codes and printer is configured to require accounting codes (through some 3rd party AAA solution).

Thanks a lot for your explanation, XWSAdmin!
I use Network accounting for this installation.
I didn't find any way to submit the job via web portal. When I login to https://localhost/login as a user I see Delegation tab only with Print Theirs and Print Mine subtabs, no upload.

I also can't find Xerox Workplace mobile app in Google Play, just Xerox Print Service Plugin and Xerox DocuShare.

What User ID and Accounting ID should I set in the Administrative Defaults area?
If the default IDs are the same for all users how can XWS provide the accounting by user?

Hi Dmitry,

TXWS allows you to enable accounting at the printer level (Network Accounting or Xerox Standard Accounting).  This is for the mobile printing workflow:  Email, Mobile App, Web submisison.  It essentially covers any jobs that run through the conversion service to get converted from the original type to a print ready format.  Desktop jobs are not included in the mobile print path and do not get converted.  They are essentially treated as "pass-through".  So the accounting toggle for a given printer does not have any impact on desktop jobs.  But it will impact any of the noted mobile print paths.  If the user does not have any stored accounting data to be applied to the job, it will be blocked.  The administrator can pre-populate this data, or the user can set it when submitting from the mobile app or web portal.  There is no iterface to set it via email, hence it must be set via one of the other methods.  It is also possible for the administrator to set defaults if the user does not have their own unique values (Company > Policies > Accounting > Adminstrative Defaults).

Well, I've changed Accounting Credentials from Network to No for one printer and can print the mail so it's accounting problem.

I can't understand why the job sent from PC user has enough accounting data while the job sent by the same user to email hasn't.

The manual says "users must supply their Network Accounting User Name and ID". The user sends the job to XWS's email from the address set in his profile in XWS, then he uses his card/pin to authorize on the printer. Where and when he must supply his Network Accounting User Name and ID?

Printing to email error

Jump to solution

Hi!

I've installed XWS and activated the licenses for Print Management and Mobile Print; Xerox VersaLink C7020 - 3 pcs.

Jobs sent from the desktop to the input queue are printing OK after authorization on VersaLink while jobs sent to email after release at VersaLink produce the "Error proccessing the document 'name'. No accounting data provided" on XWS logs.

Accounting type is set as Network

Recently email printing works OK; then I've re-installed the printers in XWS and now can't print from email.

Guess there's a setting on the VersaLink that I've missed.

Can anybody show me the way?
