Please contact Xerox support as noted earlier so that the appropriate people can be assigned to diagnose and address the issue.
Ok The solution worked on some clients, not all.
On the remaining clients, server status is OK (green). It will not confirm authentication, although th ecredantials are OK (I can connect to the network share on the print server)
After I also edit the registry on the client to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print]
"RpcAuthnLevelPrivacyEnabled"=dword:00000000 I can successfully authenticate. But the print queue installation fails
Finally found a solution
A registry setting on the print server.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print]
"RpcAuthnLevelPrivacyEnabled"=dword:00000001
I would recommend contacting Xerox support for further help diagnosing the issue:

As mentioned.
I can install the XWS client on any Windows 10 computer.
I add the server address and connection is "Ready". The printers are now detected and shown, but with status "error".
Then I select "Update credentials", enter these and select "Test". The result is "Credentials valid". I save and close. Printers status is refreshed but again "Error"
The Xerox.Job.Agent.Client.Errors log includes:

What is the exact problem you're encountering during the printer installation process? Are you trying to install the printer on a specific operating system? If so, please mention which one. Have you installed the necessary printer drivers? Are you receiving any error messages or codes during the installation? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far? If yes, please provide details about what you've attempted.
For non-domain computers we use Workplace Suite Client but for some reason we cannot install this on new client machines. Server Connection Status is "Ready". Credentials are entered and testet OK. Workplace Suite Client finds both print queues that should be installed, but fails doing so.
In file explorer, I can see the shared printers and can install these, but they don't work with Workplace Suite.
