Re: Xerox WorkPlace Suite

Hi,

For a non-EIP device, the user will not be able to see their jobs on the printer UI.  The suppored mechanisms to release jobs are using:

  • A network appliance and reader.  User scans their already registered badge and all pending jobs are released.
  • Using the Workplace App - user dqn view and release uploaded jobs.

If a printer does not support Xerox Network Accounting, then jobs printed through the solution will be tracked, with things like color and page count determined via parsing of the print ready files.

Re: Xerox WorkPlace Suite

Please, if we will go with XEROX WorkPlace Suite :

So the other printers will not have EIP:

Can the user see spooled files on the printer? and will not have accounting report for thus printers, please if you can give us more details about.

Thanks.

Re: Xerox WorkPlace Suite

This supported printer list can be found here:

Print Management Server Solutions - Workplace Suite - Xerox

Scroll to the bottom, then select COMPATIBLE PRODUCTS.

We are in the process of updating the list.

Re: Xerox WorkPlace Suite

Hi,

The solution will support non-Xerox devices, but with a reduced set of functionality (no EIP support).  You can do direct printing for desktop or mobile workflows, pull-printing, with release via a network appliance and reader or using the Workplace mobile app.  Accounting is not support, the solution will still track printed through the solution.
