I have just purchased a Workcentre 6515 on the basis that it is a comprehensive device with lots of functions. The retailer said it supported apps including scan to Google Drive so I am disappointed that this is not the case, EIP is not supported and there are no plans to do so. The Versalink devices are significantly more expensive and I would like to understand why there are no plans to add EIP support to this product - are you able to follow up with the product team again please? At the very least adding some additional 'scan to' functionality e.g. dropbox, google drive, onedrive would be very useful directly from the device itself without requiring a mobile phone app to connect to the printer.

I have confirmation for the device team and they are not planning to add EIP support to the Workcenter 6515.
If you do decide to return the device, you might want to look into the VersaLink C405. One consideration is that it may actually be more cost effective to have the C405 in the long run if your AMPV (average monthly print volume) and color percent is above about 700 pages/month (note: This calculation is dependent on how long you keep the product, area coverage, cost of the printer and a couple other factors). You might also benefit from the increased speed and input capacity of the C405 device.

Just yesterday got this nice printer but I was not aware of lacking possibility to scan to dropbox, etc and after searching for solutions came accross this forum. Now I am very interested if there will be app gallery available on workcentre 6515 or I should return this printer as soon as possible.

I have forwarded this feedback on to the device team. We have had similar requests for this same feature/support in the past, so they may strongly consider enabling EIP in a future firmware release.

Hi I want to say that this is a functionality that should be available on this printer. This isnt a basic model!
I am so totally disappointed with this printer already and now i find that even this isnt available.
Xerox please make this available on the 6515 ASAP

Currently the WorkCentre 6515 is not EIP (Extensible Interface Platform) compatible and all the Apps from the Xerox App Gallery require EIP which is why we do not list it as a supported device. We have submitted this as a request to the Workcentre 6515 device team.

I own a WorkCenter 6515 and I checked the supported MFPs for the ConnectKey / App Gallery. The WorkCenter 6515 is missing in the list. Is there any chance that this device will be supported in the future or is this differentiation feature between eg. the VersaLink C405?
