For others who are struggling, what I did was create an email address that uploads attachments to the dropbox folder of my choice. Then you can simply add this as a contact on the WorkCentre 6515, which makes the whole thing effortless when scanning. The one I used was a third party service, 'send to dropbox . com', which is free to basic usage. Be careful however if you are sending potentially sensitive documents to a third party. I've never had an issue, but worth noting.
Alternatively, you can also do something like this with IFTTT which is 'relatively' safe

Hope this helps someone out there.
Sorry that this has happen. Unfortunately this app does not support EIP that is needed to support the App Gallery. The recommendation is to contact your sales representative and look at a VersaLink C405 device or something similar. You mentioned Scan to email and I see that you should be able to use the Xerox mobile link and will be able to scan email from phone and tablets to the device.
I am just setting up my 6515 and was told it had these functions to print to email and using apps. I got the 6515 because of the dpi. the C405 is half the dpi as mine. i am not happy . i was told something and received something else.
Hello.
Thank you for the feedback.
Currently the WorkCentre 6515 is not EIP (Extensible Interface Platform) compatible/capable and all the Apps from the Xerox App Gallery require EIP which is why we do not list the Workcentre 6515 as a supported device.
Please see the attached list of devices that are supported by Xerox App Gallery.
I have checked with the program team and it's mainly the cost that is hindering the addition of EIP to the WorkCentre 6515 device.
They mentioned that there is significant cost for the controller hardware memory, which enables us to price the box at a much lower cost than the C405, which includes EIP capabilities.
If you do decide to return the device, you might want to look into the VersaLink C405. The program team shared a couple items to consider:
As you mentioned, the apps are now chargeable. The Apps team has been considering the move to chargeable apps for quite some time. They have spent a lot of time benchmarking our solutions against other providers. The competitive analysis has always supported charging for the apps. The launch of App Gallery v5.0 and the introduction of an eCommerce solution has made it possible for the Apps team to begin charging for apps.
The existing cloud connector apps will remain available to Channel Partners until later in the year. After that, the free version of the apps will be retired.
There have been some changes introduced with the 2.0 version of the apps. Some of those differences are; updated logos, ADFS support for the Office 365 and OneDrive apps and the option to integrate with a Single Sign-On solution.
I hope that this information is helpful. Please let me know is additional questions come to mind.

Hello.
I work on the Apps team, so I have limited knowledge of the devices. But, there does seem to be a lot of confusion related to the capabilities for this device. Did you buy on-line or did you go through an agent? I can see it it's possible to get an update to the device information out there.
If it's not too late, do you have the option of returning the device and replacing it with one that is EIP enabled?
Thanks,

For five days I have been trying to add my new WorkCenter 6515 to the device list in the App Gallery. Not until after calling customer support and getting educated on this support forum did I learn that my printer is not app supported. Very frustrating and deceitful that this information is not available to customers considering to purchase the WorkCentre 6515. All along I thought I had a problem in my network setup (SNMP).
Hi.
I work on the Apps team, so I'm not as familiar with all of the device specs. I'm curious. Are you referring to a statement that an agent made or the device specs that are posted on Xerox.com?
The device is compatible with Google Cloud Print, which is mentioned in the Specs on Xerox.com. This is a different capability than what the EIP apps support. However, Google Cloud Print may be an option for you depending on what you are looking for. Try these URLs for more information:

I hope that the information here is helpful, but please let me know if there are additional questions.
