The Mopria App would require you to enable your Wifi on the phone/tablet in order to discover the printer you want to print to.
with the free version of the @printbyxerox, the email workflow would be the option where the phone/tablet doesn't have to be on the same network.
Thank you for the info. Just to clarify, will Mopria print work while not on the same network? The client wants the ability to print while not on the same network.
Have you gone to the Android and/or Apple stores and tried the Mopria Print and Mopria Scan Apps? those would allow you to print without having to use the @printbyxerox or the Workplace Apps.
If you are trying to use the @printbyxerox as a standalone app (not with Xerox Workplace Cloud or Xerox Workplace Suite), just send the email with the attachment to the email@example.com email from the user's email address. They should get an express code to use at the B405 to release their jobs with the @printbyxerox app on the device..
A client that I have been working with is wanting the ability to print remotely using his Android Phone/Ipad. I have attempted to setup PrintByXerox but have run into issues. We have downloaded the Xerox Workplace App on an android phone, and tried scanning the QR Code from the QR code app, it states that "no printer can be found", and can't seem to find the correct solution to this problem. Has anyone else run into this issue?
