Hi,

Please check the date/time/time zone setting on your device and make sure that it is correct for the location of the device.

Thanks,

Hello Team,
thank you very much for the answer: for some strange reason, SN is really empty. I'll discuss this with CSE..

Hi Sergey,

I am sorry you are having trouble adding the device to your App Gallery device list. Please first try to reboot the device and then try to add the device again. If this does not fix the problem, I will need more information in order to help solve the problem.

1) Manually add a device

- Can you verify at the device or via the CWIS webpage that the device has a serial number and that it is in the correct format and range?

1. Go to the CWIS page of the device

2. Select Properties

3. Select Configuration Report

2) Import a list of devices using a CSV file

- The list only needs to contain the IP Addresses for the devices that you would like to import into the list.

- The list must be saved as a .csv file from Excel (or from whatever application you are using to create the csv file)

3) Discover devices automatically

- What web browser are you using?

Thank you,

Xerox App Gallery Team

While not an answer to any of your questions, you can just sign into the app gallery at the device and it will automagically get added to your account.

If the device is remote you can just do so through its remote control panel

And make sure it has access to the outside world, best method is to run the Smart eSolutions test, if that succeeds, App Gallery should, if it does not, you have a setting wrong on this one device. In order of likeliness, they are :

Time is off by 3 or more minutes

HTTPs is not enabled

DNS is not set or incorrect (Fix by using 8.8.8.8)

Gateway is wrong

Subnet is wrong (Gateway or DNS is outside the IP subnet)

Proxy server is not set up

Errors when adding a device into App Gallery list

Jump to solution

Hello Team,

I'm trying to add a device into my list on App Gallery site.

While other devices were added without problems, I met an issue when adding one particaular 7855. Details are below

There are 3 ways possible:

1) Manually add a device

If I try to add it manually, I get "Error Adding Device <ip-address> could not be added. Serial Number can't be blank" message.

I would accept it, but the system doesn't ask me to enter Serial number, so I have no way to make it non-blank.

So, the 1st question - what doe this message mean and how to add the device manually in this case?

2) Import a list of devices using a CSV file

The question - what CSV structure should I use in this case?

3) Discover devices automatically

If I try this way, I get the following message: "Could not be added! Device IP Address or Hostname is already associated with another device."

I changed IP and hostname, this didn't help.

So, the 3rd question is - how to correct this problem?

(Device FW is 073.040.075.34540)

Kind Regards

Sergey
