When I try to execute a scan to Google Drive when convenience authentication is on (XPMMS or Papercut) the scan fails with the attached error.
This error is expected behavior. We do not currently support convenience authentication with the Print and Scan Apps. This error also gets displayed if Accounting is enabled on the device as well. Hopefully we will be able to support this in a future release. Sorry for the inconvenience.
After further investigation we have determined that there is a setting on the device that when disabled causes this error to occur while Convenience Authentication is on.
1. Go to the CWIS page for the device (Enter the IP Address for the device into a web browser)
2. Login to the device as Admin
3. Select Properties
4. Under Services > Printing, select Printing Web Services
5. Scroll down and find the "Allow Open Access to Job Information" web service. Make sure this is enabled. If it is disabled, the Print and Scan Apps with not work with convenience authentication on.
Note: This only applies to ConnectKey and AltaLink devices. VersaLink devices do not offer this option at this time.
