Re: Versalink B7035 unable to connect to internet

It looks like you have the domain name setting correct with home.arpa.

Before checking to see if the App works, try the Remote Services Connectivity upload. If Remote Services uploads but the App does not load, that's a separate issue.

If Remote Services does not upload, try chaning the DNS from 1.1.1.1 to 8.8.8.8 or 9.9.9.9. If chaning DNS does not work, take a lookt at this page, How to Connect to Remote Services (xerox.com) it has insturctions and links to help with connectivity.

If Remote Services does upload but the App Gallery App does not connect, delete the App Gallery App from your device, go to Xerox® App Gallery login and reinstall the App Gallery App.

Re: Versalink B7035 unable to connect to internet

Hey thanks for your quick reply Tony!

I am unclear on your instructions. I have checked the date and time, and that is 100% accurate.

But I don't understand what you are telling me about the Domain Name settings. Do I put in local, home, or ouryourdomain.arpa? I can't put it in all three or it tells me that the format is incorrect. I'm attaching a screenshot of the current setup page I'm referring to, as well as some other screens I've seen for reference.Screenshot 2022-12-16 at 5.22.27 PM.pngIMG_1884.jpegIMG_1885.jpeg

Re: Versalink B7035 unable to connect to internet

Hi Diogones, there could be a couple of things going on.

First, make sure the date and time on the device is correct. If the date and time is incorrect, the device will not be able to connect to any of the Xerox systems.

If that is corrrect, move on to the network settings.

If you are using both WiFi and Ethernet, make sure you have your primary network configured. That is done in the Connectivty -> Ethernet -> common Menu. If you are connected via ethernet, make sure it's set to ethernet.

Staying in the Ethernet settings, scroll down to the DNS settings. Enter local.arpa, home.arpa, our yourdomain.arpa in the Domain Name settings.

If that does not work, you can go back to teh Ethernet DNS settings and remote the checkbox for using DHCP assigned DNS Servers and enter the DNS ip Address for Google, OpenDNS, or Quad9 DNS servers to see if that helps.

Good Luck!

Versalink B7035 unable to connect to internet

Hey all,

I have a Versalink B7035 running the latest driver and firmware. It is connected to my Netgear Nighthawk router via Ethernet. For some reason, the Versalink is unable to connect to the Internet:

– When I try to connect to any cloud app or the App Gallery, I get the message that the machine is not conencted to the Internet;

– When I try to use the remote upload feature on the Versalink configuration page, I receive the message that the upload failed since the machine is not connected to the Internet;

– When I try to check for updates, either from the config page or the Versalink touch screen, I get the message that the update check failed sinc ethe machine isn't connected to the Internet.

I have reset my router to the default settings, and have reserved the Versalink's IP address on the network. I have no problem connecting to the Versalink on my local network: I can Airprint to it just fine, as well as access the web configuration page as I mentioned above. I also checked that the proxy settings were enabled on the device. I set the Ethernet settings in the Connectivity section to have Cloudflare's servers for the primary and secondary DNS.

I am out of ideas. Does anyone else have any suggestions or solutions that I might try?
