Here is a workaround some might not want to put the machine in to guest mode but as of now it is our only workaround. In guest mode, the machine will still decline jobs with invalid codes as well as those that are over their limit but will allow jobs with no accounting codes which will go into the report in the print exceptions category
These are relevant to an Altalink, the same workaround works with Versalink and ConnectKey but the screens and steps may slightly differ
Login as admin to the MFP
Click properties
Expand "Login/Permissions/Accounting"
Click Accounting Methods
Click 'Edit' on the Validation Policies / Print Job Exceptions row
Change pull down for Validate Accounting Code (UserID) from Yes to Yes, with exceptions
Select Guest Mode
Press Save
We do not support Standard Accounting. the apps should still work as long as the "Allow open access to job info" is enabled but the scans/prints, etc will not actually get tracked using the account. Another work around you could try is if you set the print bypass in accounting rules.
We have a school district with Altalink C80XX's that is experiencing Invalid Accounting ID's when trying to print a translation with this app. Is there an exception or a special configuration that needs to be configured for this app?
Thanks for any assistance in advance!
