Re: Multiple Destination app in app studio

Same problem, on our old machines from 10 years old, SMB + EMAIL was possible.

WIth the new 7835 & 7845 it isn't so we made different temp-scan folders and are using "winautomation" to save to folder + SMB with one touch.

The Xerox software is not very "production-minded"...

Re: Multiple Destination app in app studio

John,

Damian is correct. Multi-destinations for scanning is not currently possible, due to the software limitations. I had a customer that was wanting single-touch multi-destination functions and we could not meet that requiremen.

App studio is dependant upon and limited by the functionality of the machines, so we will have to live with that.

I did submit a request to look into making multi-destinations a possibility in the future. Since I know one brand can already do this, hopefully we can do the same. It is a great capability and fits the concept of making the machine easier, simpler, and faster for operations.

Re: Multiple Destination app in app studio

With regards to "when creating the multiple destination app, can email be added as one of the destinations?"

I believe this is a technical limitation of the MFP, email filing cannot be processed with other scanning destinations.

I guess you could call what you're asking for "Nicknames" for the different destinations?

Multiple Destination app in app studio

In App Studio, is there a way with multiple destination app, that we could have the Document Path displayed when selecting destinations from the MFD?  The way it is now, is if you have multiple destinations, using the same host, you do not know what destination you are sending it to, because it only show the host name.  This would be helpful if this could be implemented.

Also, when creating the multiple destination app, can email be added as one of the destinations?
