Scan to Box and removing blank pages

I have a customer that is using the 'Scan-to-Box' AppStudio app on a C8030. Customer wants to know how to specify when scanning to Box to ignore the blank pages. Any ideas?

I am sorry but at this time we do not offer the Remove Blank Pages option for the Box Apps. I will put this into our system as a feature request.

Hello!  

 

You could try adjusting the setting at the device. 

 

Here are the steps to re-configure this setting on your C8030: 

Using the Centerware IS web (https://{printer IP address}), log in as the device Administrator.

Go to the Properties tab.

Then select the Apps option. 

Drop down the Worfkflow Scanning options and select the Default Workflow option. 

Find the Layout Adjustment section and select the Edit button to the right. 

On the next screen there is an option at the bottom called "Blank Page Management". 

Select the "Remove Blank Pages" option and then select Save. 

(Note: if you are using a WorkCenter/iSeries device the steps are slightly different: the Workflow Scanning option is under the 'Services' menu instead 'Apps' and 'Default Workflow' is 'Default Template'.)

 

Re-scan the file and blank pages should now be removed.

Thanks. I will have the customer give your recommendation a try.

 

However, I am not sure if this suggestion will work, as the configuration change pertains only on the device for scan workflows and Workflow scanning.

 

The ‘Box’ scanning workflow is driven by the Xerox AppStudio application.

Hi, Camille. 

Thank you for the post. 

The ability to remove blank pages when scanning has not been added to the Template apps yet.  It is in the developer backlog.  The Feature ID is #1107 (in case you need to reference it). 

The feature has not been assigned to a release yet, so unfortunately, I don't have an outlook for availability right now.   I do know that the team is in the process of planning their next couple releases, so there should be more information shortly.
