Re: Scan to Cloud Email question

Jump to solution

Hello.

The Scan to Cloud Email app is not HIPPA complaint. Neither the file nor the email body are physically encrypted, but the transter does use port 443 and SSL/TLS for file transfer.

We do have an app that is HIPP compliant.  The Share Patient Information app.   This is a US only app, so if you are located in the US this app might be an option for you.

Thank you!

Does anyone know if the Scan to Cloud Email App is HIPPA Compliant?  Also What port it uses and is there any encryption?

That would be no, as long as the device is online it "just works".

Scan to Cloud Email question

Does the Scan to Cloud Email app require an SMPT server? I'm inclined to say no, but I need a "hard answer" to give to my customer. The only information I can find says there is no need for email setup, however I can't locate anything more specific than that in any of the support documentation. Thanks ShawnaOB
