I Believe it is XSA only.
Newer firmware added an IPP Exception mode for Airprint/Mopria/CloudPrint, it may be worth a try.
I can only test XSA (Don't have the others)
Newer versions of iOS
Hi,
I made exceptions (added a device to print job exeptions), but no result.
I tried ID number and username with hostname and IP - no success.
Also with group ID instead of user id.
I there anyting to do apart from adding a device to exeptions and assigning to user id?
Maybe it is only working with XSA?
We have Validation on the device...
Airprint is from Apple, and it is a closed source affair, Xerox has no part in it so we, or I cannot say if they will ever support Accounting of any kind for any manufacturer. I can say that Xerox has not been asked by Apple for any information on it.
The Future of Airprint is entirely in the hands of Apple.
As for the setup with what we have:
The only option is to set those specific devices themselves up in CWIS.
In this case everything Jeff prints from his iPod will print using his regular XSA account. The issue is it needs to go by hostname or IP address, which is not as good as MAC address for these types of setup.
You cannot really.
Airprint is just the protocol, the Interface is by Apple, so no way to enter advanced finishing and no way to enter authentication.
You can use airprint by setting up rules so that specific Application or IP addresses, but it cannot track the prints/users.
Is anybody using airprint with Xerox Accounting enabled for print? I am going to be setting this up with a WC 7835 and any information would be helpful.
