The Xerox Wireless Print Solutions Adapter is your choice when:
You could try something like this. http://www.lantronix.com/products/xprintserver-cloud-print/
Your only option is to setup Google Cloud Print, Find an old junker PC and put it on the network to do so if need be.
ChromeOS does not do print drivers, or Android plugins/apps. It is a Cloud OS and is meant to be used that way, Xerox has no power over it. Google is the decision maker.
If it was your device you could use something ala ARC welder, but officially ChromeOS and Android are staying separate for the foreseeable future, and there have not been any announcement's about print functionality to be added.
We need to be able to print from a Chromebook to our Work Centre 7225. We are a BYOD school so we have a mix of every device under the sun, including in our office. The office uses the same MacBooks that the students can check out. There is not a desktop anywhere on site so I cannot set up a print server to use with Google Cloud Print or Mobile Print Server. The Plug In for Android would be a great solution if it were ported over to Chrome OS. I would even consider changing the printer in our contract but Xerox doesn't seem to have an enterprise-level MFP that's Cloud Ready.
I have a temporary workaround that I think should work. I will have the teachers save their documents to Google Drive and then use their phone to actually send the job to the printer. This seems very clumsy and will only work with the simplest documents. Can anyone suggest a better solution? Does Xerox have a product that's a better solution that I don't know about?
