I tried to re install with the Setup disk that came with the 6500. The reference was 3215 WiFi setup
I have no idea what software you are speaking of, you just say you are installing software because of another post, but you don't reference the post, what it was about, what software it is, where it came from or What Operating system is running on the computer you are attempting to install it on.
Thanks. That solves the issue of why I can't print from my smartphone. However as I mentioned, the printer is working fine on this operating system. I get this error on an operating system that the 6500 is already using to print from.
The Phaser 6500 doesn't support mobile print via MOPRIA or Airprint or Google Cloudprint.
There is no software that makes it do so so I am not sure what you are trying to install or on what. But according to that error, you are trying to install a program that cannot be installed on the Operating System of the device you are trying to install it on.
You can buy a Wireless Print Solutions adapter that will do it, and it would be hooked up physically to the Phaser 6500 (Listed in the printers specifications here in the Mobile Print section)
I've got Paser 6500N and can't seem to get my WiFi working. I've got it installed and assume I'm running fine using the USB. I also have a CAT5 running from my router to the priinter. Lights at the CAT5 socket are blinking, but the 6500 doesn't show up when I try to print from my Samsung S7. When I do a search, it can't be found. I read in another post that someone re-installed the software from the disk. However, I get this response when I use the "Install Software" button.
