enter confirmation number when retrieving print jobs

when a user authenticates at a device they are logged in successfully into the device, when they select the WorkPlace app to retrieve print jobs on the UI they are promted to supply a confirmation number. the same user can log off the device then log back into the same device successfully and select the WorkPlace app then their print jobs will appear. now this is not the case with all devices and the end result is not always a couple of log offs and log ons, it may take a few attempts. any support is appreciated with my request.
