Thank You! I was struggling with trying to turn it on; I had them try it and yes, it is showing up on their devices.
Can you confirm that iOS devices that are on the same LAN as the printer cannot find the 3615?
I consulted a co-worker who supports this device at 2nd level and he replied with the following:
Joe,
The problem is how the menu is designed. Airprint is not a feature you can toggle by turning it on/off, but rather it is automatically enabled or disabled by fulfilling its dependencies: MDNS and IPP. Once you have those two protocols enabled, then Airprint is on, and to disable Airprint, you have to disable one of those two. The Airprint menu in CWIS is confusingly designed, but does not actually allow you to enable/disable the feature.
If you have both MDNS and IPP enabled, Airprint should be turned on.
Hope this helps!
update: the printer has the new firmware 201603290655 - IPP is enabled, Bonjour is enabled, we have tried Chrome, Explorer and Mozilla FF to "turn on Airprint" and none of them allow us to enable. Please advise. Thank you. Kathleen
Try updating the firmware using this one here.
As long as the 2 things you listed and a DNS server are set it should work. Might want to try another web browser as well.
I am trying to "turn on Airprint" within centreware on the 3615. I've enabled both IPP and Bonjour but when I go the Airprint screen the "Turn Airprint On" does not allow me to click on it. Any assistance is appreciated.
