Hi all, I cant seem to find an answer to my question, we have a C405 printer and have it configured to print certian stock from the bypass tray. When it prints from this tray it pull the paper through the printer and then to the output bin but when it gets to about 80% of the page to the output bin it pulls the paper back in and then actually prints the image then proceeds to output the paper fully then on to the next page and it does the same.
Is this intended functionality or have I misconfigured something?
My 4260 does not have fax and I want to add it. I see parallel and serial versions. Which is better? Is installation anything more than just plugging in the card? After I do that will the 4260 display the fax tab on the screen and I'm good to go?Or do I have to let it know that I have installed the card?

You must install the fax card, power ON and the machine will see a new hardware and will show an instalation wizard setup (country, fax number, send/receive option).
For USGG, NASG and XCL you need parallel part. For EU you need serial part.

Was told was the assembly needed changing we did that but still there's a tiny of cyan on the prints
Any other suggestions please?

This forum is a fantastic resource and apologies if asking to much! 😂
As far as I am aware the BR Booklet Finisher can only fold and saddle stitch A4 and A3.
Obviously SRA4 is between the two sizes and I wonder if can possible make the device fold and stitch SRA4?
The driver lets you select SRA4 and appropriate finishing but errors upon output.

As for asking too much, Ask a thousand questions nicely and I will source the answer to every single one I can, or others will. but you would probably get much less helpful answers if you were to start just bashing Xerox, the product, the forum or its users. (You certainly haven't done this to be clear and I don't assume you would).
Anyway, here are the specs (Letter/Legal,Tabloid,A3,A4 can be folded)
I attached the CEIG for reference. (Page 21)
And here is where I put in my guess as to why the answer is no to the "Can it fold SRA4" question.
SRAX sizes tend to have 2 decimal places in their sizes, and the hardware in the Finisher is simply not accurate enough to reliably find dead center.
dear all, i have a WC 7556 machine, one it went to power off and on again due to electricity problems in went into non customer mode, i hade to go into the nvm 616-014 and use the value of 4 , it restarts and works fine but one i turn the macine off and disconnect it from the power source when i turn it on again it goes into the non customer mode again and i have to do the same process once again, any solution for this ? by the way i made a full over write for the image and reinstalled the software but stil the same problem.
I would like to reach out for exact settings for setting up scan to Gmail for C7025. Thanks.
My WC7970 is copying on wrong paper size.
I have the tray 4 default to size 8.5 x 11.
When copying (original paper 8.5x11), the machine keeps getting the paper from tray 3 (8.5x13). It just starts doing this today. I look every where and can not find where to tell the machine not to get paper from tray 3. I adjusted the feeder and also the sizing on the tray but still not working.
Also the machine shows Tray 4 as A4 with mm settings, but I select inch as default not millimeter.
Let me correct my previous statement. The printer grabs from tray 2 (8.5x14) by default when ...
Let me correct my previous statement. The printer grabs from tray 2 (8.5x14) by default when making photocopy. It grabs paper from tray 4 if manually select tray 4. If I don't select tray 4 before copying, it will grab paper from tray 2, which has 8.5x14.
What is the original size set to? This is implying it is either set to legal, or the sensor sees the original as being legal when it isn't. If it is the sensor, you would need a tech
Printing seems to be fine. It always default and gets paper from tray 4.
This confirms it is a settings issue or sensor for the original then, the sensor isn't used by prints obviously.
I see tray 4 settings for paper size is A4 (210 x 297 mm) and I cannot change it to Letter (8.5x11")
Move the tray guides out then in and close the tray, if it still says A4 the guides are no longer attached to the sensor and you need a tech
I am trying to figure out how to export the accounting log on Xerox FreeFlow Print Server (Version 7) over the network to a Windows computer. The export interface has the option to connect to an SMB network share, so it seems like this should be possible.
The screenshot below shows the export accounting log interface. As you can see, there is the option to change Look In to Windows Network (SMB).
What I have done so far is enter smb://DOMAIN/SERVERNAME into the "Directory" field and I get a prompt to enter my network credentials which looks as follows:
Entering my username and password allows me to navigate through the file system on the Windows server. I've tried both leaving the "Share Name" field blank and filling it in with the actual share folder I wish to save into (in my case it is called xeroxtest) - it does not seem to have any effect.
With the "Selection" field from the first screenshot set to smb://DOMAIN/SERVERNAME/xeroxtest/AccExport_dp123_07192018_15.28.49.093860 (which is auto generated by the UI) - when I go to save the log in any location on the remote system, I get the following error:
Any ideas? I can see in the file tree that the directory does indeed exist. And it is not a permissions issue on the Windows server, because I can copy files into that directory from other Windows machines using the same credentials without issue.

I think it can't do SMBv2-3 properly. I usually just store it in a share on the FFPS and pull it back to the windows PC manually, or via a script.
My method is this:
On Free Flow Print Server
1. Open Terminal Window
2. Login as [su]
3. Go to [opt/XRXnps/bin]
4. run script, [./setEnableSambaShare on]
5. Select no for login as xrxusr
6. Name your folder, In this example (FFPS)
7. Restart the FFPS
This has created a share on the Freeflow that leads to /var/spool/XRXnps/CustomerJobs
From your pc it will be “smb:\\IP of FFPS\FFPS”
In the terminal:
Now in the FFPS software;
Set AutomaticExport/Purge to Enabled
Set the directory to /var/spool/XRXnps/Customerjobs/accounting
Apply/OK and reboot
From your pc it will be “smb:\\IP of FFPS\FFPS\accounting”
There is no authentication, full read/write permission enabled.

Exactly, in the real world, an example is this:
You have 10 Lawyers, they each have a General account of their own.
Those Lawyers work different cases at the same time, so they have have Group accounts, and each of those groups are a Client.
When Lawyer 1 prints a job for client 3, a report can be run for the user, or for the client.
And if Lawyer 6 is also working with client 3, the report showing client 3 will contain the jobs of lawyers 1 and 6.
